How Pricing Works

Aura uses a credit-based system. Each month you receive Aura credit to spend on prompts and tasks. When you run out, you can purchase overage credit.

Monthly Credit

Your subscription includes monthly Aura credit:

• Pro — $40 credit/month

• Ultra — $280 credit/month

Credits reset at the end of each billing cycle. Unused credit does not roll over.

What Counts as Usage

We charge based on tokens, the same way model providers charge us:

• Input tokens — context sent to the model (your prompts, attached files, project analysis)

• Output tokens — Aura's responses and generated code

• Cache writes and reads — storing and retrieving context for faster responses

Specialized subagents like Blueprints and Python Execution use custom Aura intelligence and logic on top of the base model. These cost more than simple chat responses.

How Many Prompts Do I Get?

It varies. A simple question costs less than generating a blueprint or running the C++ agent.

As a rough guide: Pro tier gets around 200 prompts per month when using Sonnet 4.6 for typical Ask-mode questions.

Factors that affect cost:

• Model choice (Opus costs more than Sonnet, Sonnet costs more than Haiku)

• Response length

• Amount of context attached

• Whether you're using subagents (Blueprints, Python, C++)

Overage Credit

If you run out of monthly credit, you can setup overages if you're on the Pro or Ultra tier.

• Overage credit is purchased as a maximum limit — you set how much you're willing to spend

• You're only charged for what you actually use

MCP Usage in External Agents

If you use Aura's MCP tools from an external agent (Claude Code, VS Code, Cursor, etc.), basic tool calls like asset inspection are included in your subscription at no extra cost.

However, if your external agent triggers one of Aura's subagents (Blueprints, Python Execution, etc.), those calls consume your Aura credit as normal.
