As of Aura v0.15 every plan comes with unlimited usage through Auto Mode.
You also receive premium credit every month to use on frontier models (e.g. Claude Opus) for your most complex tasks. When you run out, you can switch to Auto Mode for free unlimited usage, or purchase overage premium credit (Pro and Ultimate tiers only).
Subscriptions have different free usage limits that reset weekly and 5 times a day, with the Ultimate plan having the highest usage limits.
You can track your usage in your account at www.tryaura.dev.
Auto Mode can sometimes still consume premium credits if it detects you asking a hard question. This is by design and intended to increase accuracy while premium credits are available.
Unlimited usage is available through Auto Mode on all plans. Usage limits may apply.
⚠️ Unlimited usage is only available if Training Data is toggled on in your Aura settings.
Every plan also comes with monthly premium credit to be used on frontier models (e.g. Claude Opus) for your most complex tasks. Visit www.tryaura.dev/about to see how much each plan offers.
Premium credits reset at the end of each billing cycle. Unused credit does not roll over.
Pay-as-you-go overage credit is available on Pro and Ultimate plans.
If you run out of your monthly premium credit, you can setup overages in your account at www.tryaura.dev.
We charge based on tokens, the same way model providers charge us:
Specialized subagents like the Blueprint Agent and Python Agent use custom Aura intelligence and logic on top of the base model. These cost more than simple chat responses.
You can track your usage in your account at www.tryaura.dev.
It varies. A simple question costs less than generating a Blueprint or C++.
On the Indie plan with unlimited + premium, we expect users to be able to ask a thousand questions a month with consistent usage, but the highest accuracy questions will require more premium credit spend.
Factors that affect cost:
See Prompting Tips for ways to reduce spend, and IDE/Claude Code setup to learn how to use your other AI subscriptions with Aura.
If you use Aura's MCP tools from an external IDE such as Claude Code and Cursor, basic tools like asset inspection are charged to your IDE's subscription and do not consume Aura premium credit.
However, if your external IDE triggers one of Aura's subagents (Blueprint, Python, etc), those calls consume Aura premium credit like normal.
